Magna Carta

After the Magna Carta was signed at Runnymede in June 1215, copies were distributed to various locations for public proclamation. One of these original copies was sent to Lincoln Cathedral. This copy of the Magna Carta is one of the few original 1215 copies still in existence and is a pivotal document in English legal history, representing an early step towards constitutional governance.
